Close Collaboration with Parents training
Close Collaboration with Parents training is an educational program for multi-professional staff in neonatal units (e.g. NICU, neonatal intensive care unit), aiming to improve the communication of the staff, baby behavior observation, and parenting support. The care culture of a NICU can be improved after the NICU completes the implantation of the training.
The Close Collaboration with Parents training has been developed in Finland and has been spreading throughout the world. More than 30 units in about 10 countries have completed or been implementing the training so far. In Japan, Nagano Children’s Hospital NICU in Azumino started the implementation in 2023. It will be available in the near future to implement the training from Japanese mentors in Japanese.
