Mentor Training Completed for Five Doctors and Nurses at Kyoto University Hospital!

In October 2026, we conducted Close Collaboration with Parents (CC) training at Kyoto University Hospital and completed the training of five mentors: one physician and four nurses.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the hospitalized babies and their families, as well as the ward staff, for their kind cooperation and support.

Through the training, we experienced firsthand how listening more attentively to families can help healthcare professionals build stronger partnerships with them, ultimately leading to better care for babies. We also gained valuable insights into how, as CC mentors, we can convey the importance of collaboration with families to our colleagues through the training process.

The newly trained mentors will now begin providing CC training to other ward staff members. We hope that this training will contribute to further improvements in the ward, which has already been making positive changes toward better family-centered care.

Congratulations to all five mentors, and thank you everyone for your hard work!
