(March 2026) Mentor Training Completed at Tokyo Metropolitan Bokutoh Hospital!

The mentor training for the Close Collaboration with Parents (CC) program at Tokyo Metropolitan Bokutoh Hospital in Sumida, Tokyo, was completed on March 5, 2026!

Approximately 30 training sessions were conducted over five days in late February. We received very positive feedback from the families who kindly participated in the training, including comments such as, "What a wonderful initiative!", "It gave me an opportunity to think about the meaning behind my baby's behavior," and "I appreciated the opportunity to reflect on my journey from pregnancy through our time in the NICU."

We were also encouraged by the interest shown not only by families but also by the ward staff. Throughout the five days, we were deeply impressed by the strong commitment and enthusiasm of the ward and hospital leadership toward this project.

As at Tokyo Metropolitan Children's Medical Center, the newly trained mentors will now spend approximately two years providing CC training to other staff members. We look forward to continuing our support to help further enhance the existing culture of care in the NICU!

Congratulations to everyone involved, and thank you all for your hard work!!

We sincerely apologize for the delay in posting this update due to an oversight on our part.
