Five staff members from Kyoto University Hospital NICU started their mentor training!

Kyoto University Hospital NICU has just started the implementation of the Close Collaboration with Parents training!

Following the two NICUs in Tokyo, this marks the third institution in Japan to start the program in Japanese. In January 2026, five mentors—physicians and nurses from Kyoto University Hospital NICU—visited Nagano Children’s Hospital and completed an intensive five-day training program. Surrounded by the distinctive winter climate of Azumino, the five days were filled with meaningful learning and mutual exchange.

The mentors will continue their training, including self-directed learning at their own institution.

Once again, we are deeply grateful to the many families and staff members who supported this training. Thank you very much!
